The top beam for the pool building that project volunteers signed last week was placed yesterday afternoon, Monday, Jan. 16. In the intervening week, signatures from some additional key players in making this project possible were added: Councilmember Betsy Andersen, Sara Lillevand, and major donors Steve & Karen Ellis and Amy & Reid Settlemier.
The city held a small beam signing ceremony to celebrate another pool complex milestone on Monday, Jan. 8. Members of the City Council, Pool Advisory Committee, Bond Oversight Committee, and donors gathered to sign the top beam before it’s placed on the structure, a longstanding construction industry tradition.
